Today, along with Primo headquarters and main manufacturing facilities in Tokyo, there are six other Primo offices throughout the world, three of which are also manufacturing sites. The latest include Primo Microphones, Inc. established in 1981 in McKinney, Texas, and in 1997 a Mexico Maquilla operation opened as Primo Microphones de Monterrey, S.A. de C.V. to further expand Primo's capabilities, capacities and customer partnerships in North America.
Although Primo maintains quite a presence in acoustic measuring, security, various headsets styles, medical applications, mobile paging, and broadcasting, more recently Primo has also started production of products for such applications as voice recognition microphones, ultra-cardioids, teleconferencing mics, ultra thin speaker/receiver units, noise cancellation systems utilizing counter-phase technology, and even mini-robotics. |
